Product Description
Activated Carbon Deodorizing Desiccant uses activated carbon as its primary raw material. Activated carbon is a microcrystalline carbon material with a highly developed porous structure, produced through high-temperature activation of mature coconut shells. The natural hardness of coconut shells gives the activated carbon high durability and low abrasion, while its unique fiber structure provides an enormous specific surface area and exceptional adsorption capacity. This means each granule of coconut shell activated carbon acts like a highly efficient “molecular trap,” with its extensive microporous network forming a vast adsorption maze.
Production Process:
Activated carbon is typically produced through carbonization and activation. Common raw materials include coconut shells and fruit shells. During carbonization, the raw materials undergo pyrolysis at high temperatures to remove volatile components. The activation process further develops the material’s pore structure, enhancing its adsorption capability.
